The House of the Blue Oval: Tales of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury
The trademark “Blue Oval” hasn’t been around since the first automobile first rolled down the street under its own power, but it probably seems that way.
Actually, that omnipresent trademark debuted in 1907 and appeared on a Ford vehicle for the first time in 1928 when the Model A wore a badge with the Ford script against the familiar dark blue background.
Along the way Ford brought along other illustrious brands such as Lincoln and Mercury under the same broader house of Ford. It only seems fitting that we include some of our favorite stories from siblings living under the same roof. The House of the Blue Oval: Tales of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury shares the stories of these classic cars from those who own them and love them as much as we do at Old Cars.
